its hard to believe we are in the thick of winter (maybe not in sf, but polar vortex, what??) and suddenly my inbox is filling with spring lookbooks, swimsuit deals and the like. i'm still trying to wrap my head around all of the great sales running for cold weather essentials and now my mind is being inundated with visions of new sandals, bikinis and beach cover ups that are getting me prematurely excited for spring sun and summer.  it's ALSO possible my upcoming vacay is having an effect here... my first trip of the new year we'll be on safari and traveling along the coast of south africa. when we aren't spying for elephants and hyenas or checking out the local sites, i plan to be relaxing in the sun and enjoying some badly missed beach time. check out the items i'm currently coveting for our upcoming warm weather adventure and more.

h&m in the city

my h&m online shop obsession continues... any piece that plays from downtown at work to out for drinks is a winner in my book and these pieces definitely fit the bill. the structured bodice and high neckline make this dress polished for the office and game for a night out with the flared skirt and fitted style.

i paired it here with this jacket, also a total steal for exactly the printed outerwear i've been hunting for; a fun, aztec print with a structured silhouette that keeps it trendy, but wearable. on the weekend i took the same jacket to brunch and a giants game with distressed jeans, a cotton tee and the motto boots pictured here.
