metallics + holidays

i can't believe thanksgiving has already come and gone and my favorite month of the year to be in this city has finally arrived... december is days away, christmas is just around the corner and with that  the parade of holiday parties is already getting started! i am especially excited to have any excuse to get a little extra dolled up and bring out the sequins, bold lips, big jewels, flashy golds, bright reds and high heels.  i'm especially obsessing over metallic pieces for this time of year and this alice + olivia skirt is going to be a repeat item for a few upcoming gatherings we have planned!

lip tip: i like to line with an inexpensive lip pencil (pictured, nyx in fuschia), and splurge on a good lipstick like nars 'schiap' lipstick; it gives a nice matte finish that stays on long and photographs well
