i recently attended macy's passport presents glamorama downtown at the orpheum theater. i was stoked for my invite for two reasons: it was my first official event attendance as 'press' and equally as excited to be taking part in such a fun and positive event. now in its 31st year, glamorama has become known for bringing together fashion, dance and music to join the community in support of awesome local charities including glide, aids emergency fund and project open hand. this years lineup featured sheryl crow as the headliner, as well as performances by cirque de soleil, the summer set and a runway show of fall collections from brands, including rachel by rachel roy, calvin klein and weekend maxmara. macy's managed to combine runway fashion with a passion for local charities (a standing-o after a great speaker spot from the founders of glide), while keeping the night light and fun (read: male models de-robing to show off the latest diesel for men line) and not to mention i was close enough to touch sheryl... eee! can't wait to be apart of next year!
